Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has replied comedian, Seyi Law for making a U-turn over his regret for supporting President Tinubu during the election.
In a podcast, Eedris claimed that Seyi Law told him he regretted supporting President Tinubu.
Refreshing your memory, Seyi Law was one of the few celebrities who was bold enough to rigorously campaign for the President during the General Election.
One year later, according to Eedris, Seyi regretted his decision as he noted how he had been insulted and cursed over his support for him and how he had stopped receiving money from people at his shows.
Reacting to it, Seyi Law in a tweet, expressed his love for Eedris as he debunked the allegation.
Following this, a netizen brought out the video of him expressing his regret for supporting Tinubu at his recent show. In the video, Seyi Law re-echoed what Eedris said in the video as he expressed how tired he was standing on the mandate of Tinubu.
He further added that people don’t spray him money because he supported Tinubu and that Vice President, Kashim Shettima’s presence at the AFCON match made things hard for the Nigerian national team.
Eedris reacting to the video, called out Seyi Law for trying to paint him as a liar. “I thought you said I was lying @seyilaw1”.
Hitting back, Seyi Law stated that though he respects Abdulkareem the drama is unnecessary, as he stated that Eedris’ lie is a means to pander to his bloated ego and unsolicited activism.
He told him that if care wasn’t taken, he would lose his respect and relevance.
“Baba, I respect you gan, but this oath of unnecessary lie to pander to your over-bloated ego and unsolicited activism go make you lose the respect. This relevance wey you dey find by force sha”.
This whole drama is coming just a day after, Seyi Law drummed up support for Tinubu, declaring that if another election was to be held tomorrow, he was still going to vote for Tinubu.
He also stated how he would rather stay with Moses through the wilderness than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt, hinting at the fact that Moses was Tinubu while Egypt was Peter Obi.
He further expressed that while a lot of Nigerians keep on killing the optimism of others with their hate and urge for gratification, he is better privileged because he is more informed than the rest of Nigerians.
Recall that following Tinubu’s victory in the election, Seyi Law had tendered an apology.
Seyi Law via his Instagram page apologized to all that he might have offended with his immense support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (also known as Asiwaju).
