Veteran Yoruba actress Laide Bakare has landed a political role with the Osun state government led by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Laide Bakare, an indigene of Osun state, bagged an appointment as the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism.
The actor, who hails from Ibadan area of Oyo State, is popular for his roles in a number of Yoruba movies.
The state government made this public through a statement on its official Twitter account
She wrote: NOW AN HONORABLE ya Allah I am grateful . To my New Boss GOVERNOR ADEMOLA JACKSON ADELEKE Imole Osun. Thank you so much for the trust and opportunity to serve. I promise to deliver my Best. So help me God SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE GOVERNOR OF OSUN STATES ON ENTERTAINMENT, ART, CULTUREj AND TOURISM. Lot of work to be done. Shall we?
