Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday has bemoaned the cost of flight tickets in Nigeria.
The mother of one, who often flies first or Business class, is now contemplating switching to economy as ticket soars to N9 million.
Sharing a screenshot of the ticket price, she stated that this is the year she will start flying Economy because she doesn’t understand the outrageous prices.
“9 million naira for Flight ticket. I think this is the year I will fly Economy. Cus wetin be this. Haaa God”.
Similarly, Reality TV star Uriel Oputa recently took to her Instagram to express frustration over the soaring cost of flight tickets.
She shared that, for the first time in years, she was considering flying economy class to London due to the expensive prices, with business class fares from Nigeria to London now reaching 7 million Naira.
As Uriel and Nkechi are lamenting over flight tickets, Mercy Aigbe and Ama Reginald are lamenting over clearing her goods.
It is not news that the Nigerian currency is devaluating day by day to the weight of the American dollar, and this has affected a lot of people, including celebrities.
Mercy Aigbe took to Instagram to wail over the current exchange rate. In her post, Mercy attached a picture of the exchange rate of Naira to dollar, which read 1,825 Naira per dollar, as she lamented over how she would clear her goods. Mercy Aigbe also quizzed business owners on how they were coping amidst the rise in dollar rate.
Influencer and businesswoman Ama Reginald also came out to bemoan the exchange rate, citing difficulties in clearing her goods, just like Mercy Aigbe.
Meanwhile, as some are wailing over the economic hardship, others are living a luxury lifestyle with caring for the plights of others.
