Actress Wunmi Toriola who recently had an interview with Iyabo Ojo has shared her humble beginning.
Wunmi Toriola was born July 11, raised in Lagos State, but originally a native of Ogun State.
She grew up in the company of her three siblings, raised by their father alone because her mum died when she was a child. Her parents were devoted Christians growing up and involved their children in church activities.
After graduating high school, she enrolled in the prestigious University of Ilorin, otherwise known as Unilorin, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics, she later joined the movie industry through the Odunfa Caucus in Ebute Metta in 2009, she made her debut appearance with the movie, Isese Lagba, produced by Tawa Ajisefeni, shot her into limelight, After working in numerous movies, Olawunmi Toriola decided to take a shot at producing her own movie, — in 2012 Wunmi Toriola produced her own movie, “Ajewunmi.”
Wunmi has featured in over a 100 movies and has won alot of award to mention but a few, She won the 2018 “Fastest Rising Actress (Yoruba)” award at the City People Awards, She is blessed with a son, zion, and she is also an entrepreneur. Wunmi has done so well for herself and has become a force to reckon with and also one of the highest paid in the yoruba industry.
