Multiple award winning actor and filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has mourned the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Quadri Oyebamiji Tolani popularly known as Sisi Quadri.
A few hours ago, the Yoruba industry was thrown into tears when the death of Sisi Quadri took over the internet.
The actor’s untimely demise was announced by his colleague Tunde Olayusuf on Instagram and his other colleagues have followed suit with their condolences.
On Instagram, Kunle Afolayan shared a photo of himself and Sisi Quadri on the set of Anikulapo, expressing shock over the actor’s death.
He revealed that he’s at a loss for words and he’s still trying to cope with Sisi Quadri’s death. He prayed that the vibrant actor rest in peace.
“Sad! Sad! Sad! I’m not sure of what to say or how to deal with this!There is a saying that “T’ibi t’ire la da Ile aye”This is just so shocking🤦🏾♂️May your soul rest in peace Quadri”
Also, Kemi Filani learnt that the actor died of kidney-related issues. The revelation was made known by blogger, Seun Oloketuyi via his Instagram page.
Recall that in 2023 the Nollywood was thrown into mourning when Murphy Afolabi died on Sunday, the 14th of May, 2023, after he reportedly slipped on bathroom tiles and hit his head on a hard surface.
Nollywood stars declared that Sunday as a Black day because the movie industry lost two actors. Murphy Afolabi’s death was mourned with dark images.
The actor’s death came as a shock to many because he recently marked his 49th birthday on the 5th of May. Seun Oloketuyi claimed the actor lost his life after slipping on bathroom tiles.
