There is excitement in the air for fans and lovers of Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar as she returns to Nollywood.
The movie star, who is recovering after battling illness for years, took to her Instagram page to share photos and clips of her on a movie set. Halima stated that due to popular demand and because of the love from her fans, she has returned to her field. She went on to dedicate her first project to them.

Taking to her comment section, her fans went wild with joy over the good news as they awaited her latest movie.

Recall that in November 2023, Halima Abubakar made her first public appearance following her battle with an unknown ailment, as she stepped out in style in Kogi State for the Governorship election.
Sharing photos and clips online, she expressed how honored she was to be back in his State as she noted how it was her first outing in 2 years. Expressing gratitude to her creator, she thanked Him for showing up for her.
Refreshing your memory, in 2022, Halima became bedridden following her altercation with Apostle Johnson Suleman. Her family also took to social media to call out the clergyman to stay away from her.
However, many alleged that the actress was battling an autoimmune disease. Debunking the claims, Halima shared her medical report which was shoved aside as many claimed that the report doesn’t prove anything.
For three months, Halima opened up on her affair with Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministry, revealing how the clergyman reached out to her and how their affair began.
The then-ailing actress insisted that she never knew Suleman was married as he told her that he was separated, and she pleaded with him countless times to reconcile with his wife, but he remained adamant.
Halima claimed that Apostle Suleman proposed to her seven times but she rejected his proposal. Unbothered by the rejection, he involved the actress’s parents in their affair and had a wedding introduction with her.
