Omotola Jalade is a big name in Nigeria, so it shouldn’t sound strange to you. For those who aren’t familiar with who she is, but must have heard of her somewhere, let’s take a quick look at her profile before introducing her children to you.
Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is a Nigerian Nollywood actress, singer, humanitarian (philanthropist), brand ambassador, and businesswoman. She’s of Ondo State descent but was born and raised in Lagos State. Since debuting in the Nollywood industry in 1995, Omotola has sold millions of video copies, with an appearance in over 300 films. Omosexy, as she’s popularly called due to her curvy shape, was born on February 7th 1978 (43 years – 2021).
At the age of 16 (while awaiting her University results), Omotola met her current husband, Captain Matthew, who was 26 at that time. Two years after (1996), they tied the knot, having their dream white wedding ceremony onboard an airplane flying from Lagos to Benin in 2001. And Yes! She got married at the age of 18 and had her first child at 19. Why? Because she was already a millionaire and was ready to take on financial responsibilities.
Her marriage with Captain Matthew, who’s a pilot, is blessed with four lovely children, namely:
1). Princess Ekeinde
2). Matthew Ekeinde Jnr (Captain E)
3). Meraiah Ekeinde
4). Michael Ekeinde
Princess Ekeinde
Princess Ekeinde is the first daughter of Omotola Jalade. She was born on March 30th, 1997 (24 years – 2021). She was known to model for brands but has opted to follow her heart’s desire ever since she found her passion in cooking.
She was once featured in a cooking show alongside her celebrity mother. According to her mum, “Princess’s love for cooking is extraordinary, and I know she’s on her way to becoming a famous Nigerian Chef”.
In January 2019, Princess became the first master’s degree holder in her family after graduating from the Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus, where she studied Tourism and Hospitality management.
Matthew Johnson Ekeinde Jnr (Captain E)
The first male child of the family is an upcoming Nigerian recording artist, music producer, sound engineer, and DJ. He is named after his father “Captain Matthew Ekeinde”, but is fondly called “MJ” by friends and family to avoid any mix-up.
His stage name in the music industry is Captain E. He was born on August 20th, 1998 (23 years – 2021), in an undisclosed top private hospital in Lagos State. In an interview, Captain E disclosed that his mum introduced him to music at the age of 9, which brought about his keen interest in music-making. Just like his older sister, Matthew is also a graduate of an American university.
